Meet our Governors
Name: Mr Daniel Webb - Chair of Governors
Current occupation:
I work at a Power Station in the Bristol area with the lofty job title of ‘Scheduling and Optimisation Controller’, which basically means that as part of a team I sell electricity to a counterparty and ensure the power station can supply what we have sold.
What I enjoy about being a Governor at The John Moore Primary School:
The most enjoyment and satisfaction I get is being able to see at first hand the amazing work the staff of the school carry out every day of the week. I am constantly impressed with the commitment, energy and level of skill they all have. I am truly humbled to be a part of the continuing development of the school and am thankful my two children benefit from this.
Skills I bring to the Governing Body:
I am an engineer at heart and have been involved with the latest expansion of the school, asking awkward questions of the contractors where required. In my previous workplace role, I had been involved with Health & Safety and such I bring a wealth of knowledge across a broad spectrum of areas within that realm. I have also been part of the team at Little Foxes in the past, and hence I am currently the link Governor for Early Years (EYFS).
Three things I like to do in my spare time:
-
I love spending time with my family, normally for long walks in the countryside, Croome Park and Westonbirt Arboretum are favourite locations
-
I also love Formula 1, so don’t call me on a Sunday afternoon around 1 o’clock.
-
I quite like tinkering in the garage and building stuff, my latest project is a Gin Bar for the garden…..

Three things I like to do in my spare time:
Name: Miss Chloe Davies - Staff Governor
Current occupation: I am one of the Deputy Managers at Little Foxes our school Nursery and Pre-school. Part of my job is to lead the Rising 3’s Wren room and I have recently trained as Little Foxes DDSL. Out of school I am a qualified, self-employed dance teacher at the Amy Bastin Dance.
What I enjoy about being a Governor at The John Moore Primary School:
It is a great opportunity to be part of a strong governing body that has high aspirations for our children at Little Foxes and JMPS. As a member of staff, it is lovely to be able to be supportive of all of my colleagues and help the school become the best it can be.
Skills I bring to the Governing Body:
Since the school took on Little Foxes as part of the JMPS family, as Deputy Manager, I am in the classroom teaching and able to support the Governors with my EYFS experience. I also support the running of the breakfast and after school club so I am able to be a solid transition point for the children at JMPS to their class teachers and parents.
For the last year I have been studying the NQEYs. This has meant I can support other leaders to ensure challenge and ask questions in school with my enhanced management skills, whilst always continuing to be a learner. I am now a trained DSL for LFs. This means that I am part of the team of DSLs that continue to keep our children safe.
Outside school, I am a dance teacher. It is important that I am able to manage my time efficiently, planning lessons that keep to a time schedule as well as have excellent communication skills. All of my positions rely on the strong relationships I am able to build with children and adults and can now be a strength in my new role as a Governor.
Three things I like to do in my spare time:
-
Teach dance
-
Watching musicals with my Mum
-
Support my sister at her dance festivals
